Founded in 1936, the aim of the school is to provide a sound general education in a well structured, happy and stimulating environment. There is a friendly relationship between staff, pupils and parents. Children are encouraged to develop self-confidence, good manners and consideration for others. Subjects taught include Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, French, Handwriting, Nature Study, Art, Handiwork, Music, Drama, Dancing, Gym, Games (Boys - football, cricket, tennis, short tennis: Girls - netball, uni-hockey, rounders, tennis, short tennis). Children can also learn piano, violin, recorder and ballet. After school activities include French, taught by native speakers, tennis coaching, and swimming.
A hot two course lunch is cooked on the premises daily.
The boys are prepared for King's College Junior School, Colet Court, Westminster Under School and other local day schools as well as boarding prep schools such as Summerfields, Brambletye, The Dragon, etc.
The girls are prepared for Wimbledon High School, Putney High School, The Lady Eleanor Holles School, The Study and other local schools.
Regular outings to places of interest, museums, exhibitions, theatre, farms, etc are organised during the school year. Every child takes part in a drama production and a musical concert during each school year.
